- Is there a free trial?
- No — you don't need one. Free never expires and covers the full core workflow, so you can evaluate as long as you like. Pro comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
- Can I use Free for commercial work?
- Yes, with no restrictions.
- Does Kafma work with my Kafka?
- Kafma works with any Kafka-compatible cluster, and is tested against self-hosted Kafka, Amazon MSK, and Confluent Cloud.
- Does Kafma need an internet connection?
- Only for Pro license validation and update checks and downloads (on by default; you can turn them off in Settings). License validation normally runs about once a week, and Pro remains usable for up to 14 days offline. Kafma has no telemetry; your Kafka data never passes through us.
- How many devices can I use?
- One active device per license. Deactivate the old machine and activate the new one yourself, anytime.
- What if I stop paying?
- Kafma downgrades to Free. Nothing is deleted — one cluster and two Console tabs stay usable, and your other clusters remain saved, locked until you renew.
- Can I buy Pro for my whole team?
- Yes — buy one license per developer. A Teams plan with centralized license management is coming later.
- Can I get an invoice?
- Yes. Our merchant of record handles invoices and applicable taxes. See subscription terms
